My online course “Politics” covers the topic from the perspective of an individualist and Objectivist. Objectivism is a unique and wholistic philosophy created by an American author & philosopher Ayn Rand.

You are going to familiarize yourself with the etymology of the word “politics”, learn about the three basic Laws of Logic, dive into the world of human mind and identity, and correlate that with politics. I also cover economy (on a superficial, introductory level), governance, the problem of getting corrupted by power and a number of other topics. Here is the list of topics we dive into:

  1. Etymology of word “politics” and its definition,
  2. Classifications of politics & political “schools”,
  3. The harms of collectivist politics,
  4. What a value is, the basic values in objectivism,
  5. Human types according to Ayn Rand. Approach towards the market.
  6. Individual, identity, mind.
  7. Four parts of mind according to yogic & non-western philosophy – or science, if you will – and my theory of “nounization”.
  8. Laws of Logic and their application to politicians and political structures (state, government, specific positions such as President of Parliament).
  9. The size and functions of the government according to Objectivism & Ayn Rand. The areas that politics should be allowed to regulate, monitor or control (that’s a bit of a dangerous word, huh?).
  10. Law: the origin of the word, its definition functions and classification to subjective and objective types.
  11. The concept of a right. Various perceptions.
  12. The analysis of the three collectivist decades of the Third nationalistic Republic of Armenia.
  13. Some problems that exist in the current government.
